The Senior Application Specialist for Outpatient & Clinical Application Support will be responsible for interfacing with the client, analyzing business needs, determining business solutions, and implementing appropriate system configurations and changes to applications/software.
Essential Functions:
Analyzes complex business requirements, workflows and application capabilities.
Utilizes analysis to collaborate with users, analysts and consultants to determine solutions and required configurations to meet business requirements.
Test application configurations and builds or does unit testing in non-production environments and reports on outcomes noting issues.
Maintains appropriate documentation for change management.
Part of implementation team which includes planning implementation of builds, communicating changes and training users.
Monitors implementations into production, makes adjustments, as necessary.
Monitors cues of tasks to trend tasks for issues or discrepancies, analyzes and provides suggested solutions.
The candidate should have basic knowledge of computer systems, PC's, PC tools and Server infrastructures within data centers and he should be willing to work with these systems under the leadership of the team leads.
Develops user reports.
Collaborate with Users and the Vendors in planning changes, resolving business issues & problems. Understand the technology and Work with the infrastructure groups and cross functional organizations to implement changes and resolving issues.
Maintain appropriate documentation and follow organizations change management policies and procedures.
Be able to take responsibility and work with the leads.
Support multiple concurrent tasks
Qualifications:
Basic
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in MIS, CS or related field or a minimum of 4 years of additional work related experience.
- A minimum of 5 years of professional experience in analysis of complex business requirements, workflows and application capabilities.
- Understands the details of the application and interdependencies of other applications within the organization.
Preferred
Qualifications:
- Experience with release management and change control.
- Has substantial understanding of the job, and applies knowledge and skills to complete a wide range of tasks.
- Ability to understand the details of the application and the impact to the applicable business / operational areas supported by the application.
- Kaiser Permanente experience.
- Knowledge of clinical workflows in the healthcare industry.
- Familiaritywith compliance requirementssuch as SOX or HIPPA.
