Summary: The EPD/Security Officer provides patient and visitor greetings, Guides patients seeking emergency care to the areas to sign in for triage. Screens patients before they are seen in triage using a portable or fixed metal detector. Provides a high visibility of security for the ED, Triage and Admissions areas. This position provides directions for all visitors and patients using the emergency department entrance. This position will assist contract security officers during heightened security events. The position will also screen after hour visitors and work with patient care areas in communicating visitor requests. Equipment List: 1. Telephone 2. Two-Way Radio 3. Portable/Fixed Metal Detector 4. Card Access Doors 5. Spectra Link Phones 6. CCTV
