Summary:
A Dish Business Reporting/Financial Analyst will analyze data from a variety of sources including financial statements and budgets.
They will develop reporting summaries that provide useful, actionable insights to management.
The Commercial Operations Reporting/Financial Analyst will also maintain recurring reports on programming, hardware, COGS, financial trends and budget performance within the Commercial department.
A successful analyst will have a strong attention to detail and the ability to approach problems in a critical, measured manner.
A successful analyst will also have the strong communications skills required to effectively explain pertinent trends and to highlight key department activities.
Job Duties and
Responsibilities:
Create, manage and refine new and existing financial models to determine NPV, Break-Even and Rate-of-Return.
Manage competing deadlines while performing recurring and ad hoc deal analysis and make recommendations to improve profitability.
Manage and track deal costs including capital and operating expenses, fixed and variable costs and cost of goods sold.
Perform variance analysis of installation costs and identify opportunities for improved forecasting and modeling.
Generate meaningful reporting and analysis for the sales and management teams.
Work cross-departmentally to perform and improve financial analysis while providing a high level of customer service to a variety of partners and customer in complex and demanding situations.
Prioritize work efforts and manage competing deadlines to meet business needs.
Be able to integrate data from multiple sources to produce requested analysis.
Performs financial and strategic analyses to forecast and improve performance for Commercial Services to include performance to budget for revenue, subscribers, and COGS.
Coordinate monthly reconciliation of departmental P&Ls Research, identify, and leverage best practices to identify improvements for the Commercial Sales and Operations department.
Be able to quickly and effectively analyze data, identifying trends and summarizing key details to highlight immediate business impacts.
Use a variety of reporting tools and systems to process requests, Tableau, SalesForce, Oracle, Orbit, G-Suite and Microsoft Office.

Bachelor's degree (B.

) from four-year college or university; Four years of relevant work experience Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Demonstrated proficiency of SalesForce, Microsoft Office tools, G-Suite, and Excel.
SQL and Tableau experience a plus.
Ability to interact cross-functionally with various levels of employees and with management.
Well-developed analytical skills, including the ability to handle competing requests from customers, partners, and internal colleagues.
Sales and/or negotiation experience preferred, but not required.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
