Job Duties and
Responsibilities:
We are seeking an organized and data-driven individual for our Data Governance team within Sling's analytics department.
This individual must have strong technical skills and the ability to communicate effectively.
Sling's Data Governance team is responsible for managing existing data processes, validating new datasets, and creating new processes to ensure the whole analytics team can easily access data needed for business decisions.
A critical component of the Data Governance team is manipulating raw and complex datasets into clean and logical forms that allow all our team members to work faster, more efficiently, and with better results.
This role requires strong attention to detail, critical thinking, creative problem solving, and the ability to work with multiple teams and stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
Developing, implementing, and maintaining automated reports on key results and performance metrics to support and improve business decisions Locating and weaving together data sources, validating the accuracy of data, and building reporting for all levels of management Working cross-functionally with department managers, executives, and IT to understand business needs, gather requirements, and ensure necessary data and insights are available Commitment to teamwork Proactively identify and surface opportunities to improve efficiencies, sales conversions, revenue generation, operations, communication, systems & tools, etc.
Comfortable interacting with all levels of business people.
Proactive with a 'can do' attitude and is comfortable prioritizing and balancing workloads.
Knows when to check in with management Skills, Experience and Requirements:
Required skills/
Experience:
Master's or advanced degree in Data Science/Analytics or 6
years relevant work experience Experience with SQL:
cleaning, prepping, and analyzing large data sets Experience with Python and Automation Familiarity exploring, understanding, and distilling large and disparate data sets into a simple structure that is easy to use in analyses or reporting.
Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to write reports and procedure documents Intellectual curiosity, attention to detail, and strong personal initiative Preferred skills/
Experience:
Experience with data visualization and common tools (Tableau, Power BI, etc.
) Experience with AWS data systems, Azure, GCP, EC2, GitHub, and/or Hadoop Knowledge of advanced statistics and their use in A/B testing and other applications

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
