Prior Authorization Specialist
Responsibilities:
Obtain prior authorization for pharmacy administered medications Obtain prior authorizations for injectable medications done in office Document prior authorization number and dates in the EHR system Communicate with medical assistants and physicians regarding authorization approvals Maintain accurate and up-to-date records Prior Authorization Specialist Requirements:
Strong knowledge of health insurance and prior authorization processes including medication prior authorization experience Excellent communication and negotiation skills Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment Familiarity with electronic medical records and insurance databases
Benefits:

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
