Procurement Analyst

JOB SUMMARY Performs various Procurement related tasks in support of Charter's operations including, but not limited to, data analysis, reporting, modeling and supplier monitoring.
Works cross-functionally and uses different systems and tools to retrieve data, perform financial and non-financial data analysis, develop reports, and formulate and communicate recommendations based upon the data.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Actively and consistently support all efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience.
Analyzes, facilitates and coordinates projects to optimize procurement operations activities.
Applies analytical tools such as Cost/Price Analysis, Activity Based Costing, Value Analysis, Spend.
Analysis, and Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) with direction.
Provides training and support for the procurement department.
Performs value analysis within the category or commodity groups to support procurement decisions.
This includes completing marketing, supply and demand and designated materials analyses as well as performing searches required to identify local/regional/global suppliers.
Collaborates with procurement team to compile necessary data to define business requirements for projects.
Adds and/or maintains information in the Supplier Information and Performance management system.
Supports the Ariba implementation across Contract Management, Procure to Pay, and Supplier Information and Performance Management.
Creates and analyzes applicable Ariba reports.
Maintains internal departmental metrics and measurements in support of procurement KPIs and operational targets.
Leads internal improvement initiatives to streamline processes and make more effective use of information technology, using knowledge of department processes and procedures, work instructions and training requirements for the Procurement Department.
Supports procurement team members with training, work instructions, processes and procedures.
Performs supplier financial analysis.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Required Skills/Abilities and Knowledge Ability to read, write, speak and understand English Demonstrated verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills Ability to prioritize, organize, and multi-task in a flexible, fast paced and challenging environment to effectively meet deadlines and projects by using appropriate methodology and tools Superior oral and written presentation/communication and influencing skills Demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills to work across functional and organizational lines with uncompromising ethics Superior problem-solving skills and attention to detail Ability to independently assess situations and respond accordingly Ability to deal with complexity and manage ambiguity Demonstrated analytical skills and ability to exercise judgment in selecting methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results Demonstrated project management skills and process mindset Demonstrated proficient computer skills using Microsoft Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access Familiarity with SQL, SAP Business Intelligence (specifically Business Objects, or VBA highly desirable) Required Education Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience Required Related Work Experience and Number of Years Financial analysis experience - 2
