Lead Platform Engineer
TITLE:
Lead Platform Engineer LOCATION:
Greenwood Village, Colorado JOB
Summary:
Assist with production related bugs and provide enhancements.
Certify application code and turn over from Software Engineering (SE) Quality Assurance (QA) prior to launch in Stage and Production.
Support Network Operations in creation and maintenance of automated monitoring and alerts on 134various software platform.
Support and troubleshoot software installation to set-top-box code module downloads, software Microservices, and Active Video code deployments prior to installation in EngProd, Stage, and Production environments.
Manage software/code/tools, upgrades, patch deployment, OS upgrades in Software Engineering environments.
Represent Software Development Support Operations in architecture/design phase meetings.
Develop Splunk and Kibana dashboards.
Perform root cause analysis of software failures.
Work with programming languages including C and C+
for design and development of video related algorithms.
Perform scripting in Python.
Engage appropriate fix agent to resolve software and configuration issues.
Lead, test, and certify microservices code on hardware devices prior to deployment.
Work in an AWS environment for deployment of software microservices and debugging.
Develop Jira dashboards.
Utilize Cable domains including STB Middleware, DVR, STB Interactive applications, Video on Demand, and Guide.
Work with monitoring tools including Splunk, Kibana, Grafana.
Utilize Charter's internal and proprietary platforms including Spectrum Guide Microservices and National services, as well as external technologies including Splunk, Elk/Kibana, Grafana, Cloudwatch, and Icninga.
EDUCATION/REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's degree, or foreign equivalent, in Electronics and Communication Engineering, Information Technology or a related field.
10 years of experience utilizing Cable domains including STB Middleware, DVR, STB Interactive applications, Video on Demand, and Guide.
8 years of experience utilizing monitoring tools including Splunk, Kibana, Grafana.
6 years of experience utilizing programming languages including C and C+
for design and development of video related algorithms; and performing scripting in Python.
5 years of experience utilizing AWS environment for deployment of software microservices and debugging.
Hybrid office and remote work arrangement available.
Salaries depend on geography, experience, and education; negotiations begin at $139,984.
