Senior Engineer - Software
Department Summary Senior Engineer - Software sought by DISH Network, LLC in Colorado.
Work with business teams to provide analytical data for Dish Networks businesses including Dish, Sling, Wireless and OnTech (ECommerce).
Support data and cloud transformation and cost optimization initiatives.
Contribute to cloud first strategy.
Work with stakeholders across the organization to deliver enhanced functionality.
Support all the data warehouse process including data replication and ingestion pipelines from various sources (database, json files, API) to AWS Athena and Redshift.
Monitor ETL data pipelines and alert business users for any load delays.
Support Hyperion, Tableau and Orbit reports.
Adhoc data pulls for various business teams (Retention, Accounting and Legal).
Job requirements:
Requires Bachelors degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or a closely related field plus 3 years of relevant work experience in telecommunication software engineering.
Also requires 3 years of experience with/using the following (which may have been gained concurrently):
Designing and developing applications using Teradata, Amazon Web Services, SQL, Python, BTEQ, Teradata Loader and Export utilities, Shell Scripting, SQL Server, Redshift, Snowflake, Oracle, PostgreSQL and Mongo databases Data warehousing concepts; Using Amazon Web Services applications like S3, EC2, Athena, Cloud watch, Lambda, Redshift, etc.
; Utilizing ETL tools, Informatica, Autosys, Control-M, Golden Gate, Teradata, Shell scripting, SQL and AWS Redshift in carrying out data engineering tasks; Using Data Extraction, Transformation, And Loading (ETL).
Employment is contingent on successful completion of a pre-employment criminal background check, which may include a drug test.
Rate of pay:
