Principal Wireless Engineer IILOCATION:

Summary:
Coordinate Mobile Device Certification and communicate with major Mobile vendors and different Project Managers (PMs).
Participate in Mobile Device Feature and Requirements planning, utilizing knowledge of network architecture design and engineering.
Integrate and schematically depict communication architectures, topologies, hardware, software, transmission and signaling links, and protocols into complete network configurations that can be reflected to Mobile Features.
Evaluate new Mobile Device products and handle problem reporting through resolution.
Assist in the development and documentation of Mobile device technical requirements based on standards.
Design and establish Mobile Certification process following3GPP, WiFi Alliance, and major US Carrier operators' practices.
Work on projects, systems, and issues of medium to high complexity surrounding network planning, configuration, and optimization.
Provide escalated tier support across organizations and to third party vendors.
Work on one or more projects as a project team member and project team lead.
Coach less experienced staff.
EDUCATION/REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, or related field.
5 years of experience testing mobile devices in a lab environment; utilizing Mobile Communication Technologies including, 3GPP R15 specification skills on call setup, ACN.
1 messaging structure, Android and iOS system structure and SW handling, mobile test lab setup design, installation and operation, and mobile device issue debugging based on system logs and Field Test reports; utilizing Mobile and RAN standards including, 3GPP network design, architecture, protocols, and debugging tools; and utilizing technical language including, 3GPP acronyms, IEEE acronyms, telecommunications SW development process acknowledgement and handling, and telecommunications program management process acknowledgement and handling.
Work from home available 2 days per week.
Salaries depend on geography, experience, and education; negotiations begin at $131,456.
