Systems Engineer III - Network Modeling (Hybrid)

This position is eligible to work in a hybrid work model (combination of in-office and remote days).
JOB SCOPECharter Communications is seeking a Systems Engineer to join our Inventory Platforms team, providing support for Granite Network Inventory, future inventory applications, and all related integrations.
The Inventory Platforms team is responsible for supporting all aspects of network device discovery, reconciliation with existing records, asset lifecycle management, and network inventory management.
This role is responsible for maintaining our Inventory Management platform, designing device modeling and templates within that system, setting up monitoring, and advising on systems integrations/data federation.
This position will include sporadic overnight deployments and on-call duties as assigned (approx.
one week every 2 months).
Consistent with a 24 X 7 Operations environment, periodic cell phone availability will be necessary to respond to escalated issues.
This position works in an office environment and the team has adopted a hybrid model.
Full time remote work is not a currently accepted part of the job.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Works on projects/systems/issues of varying complexity surrounding network planning, configuration, and optimization across several interrelated systems.
Hands on involvement in network planning and design activities, including how to model network configurations accurately in systems of record.
Assists in the development and documentation of technical standards and implements approved methods of procedure.
Contributes to designing corporate standards and developing ways to monitor and enhance asset life cycle management.
Single Customer Issue tickets are completed within SLA.
Assist in the identification of issues and development of solutions to automate repeated process/steps/tasks.
Act as an escalation point of contact for all front-line team (DOJ/PAC/Repair) issues Participate in root cause analysis for any new issues/ticket patterns identified by the team Represent the team on IT outages / Incident bridges BASIC / MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's degree Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field and/or related work experience.
Minimum three (3) years' experience in Application/Provisioning Support, Telecommunications, or other related fields ADDITIONAL JOB QUALIFICATIONSExperience with network design, network architecture, protocols, and network topology Established knowledge of order fulfillment and provisioning flows and systems, including order orchestration, inventory management, asset lifecycle management, and service activation using tools such as Granite Inventory Management, Ericsson Adaptive Inventory, Blue Planet Inventory, Salesforce, etc.
Knowledge in using ticketing and software tools such as BMC Remedy, Incident Portal, Jira, Cherwell etc.

The pay for this position has a salary range of $78,900.
