Manager, Network Engineering

JOB SCOPEThe Manager Network Engineering is responsible for providing direction and leadership and has oversight of a team of engineering professionals within the Access Network Sustaining Operations organization responsible for ensuring that all internal teams are supported and prepared for the deployment, activation and support of new hardware and software platforms within the access network.
The Manager Network Engineering will also be responsible for reporting, metrics, timelines, related to software/hardware defect data, technical and operational data, projects and initiatives being driven by or impacting the access network.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Supports in the effective resolution of customer impacting events and drives a high-performance culture and environment within the organization.
Develops and manages relationships with internal and external engineering partners as well as technical project managers to ensure cohesive and collaborate communication across the organization.
Provides technical program management and actively assists and supports with the aggregation of technical data to be used in reporting related to projects and initiatives; ensuring that data is presented in an easy-to-view manner for a wide-range of audiences within the organization.
Provides hand-on leadership of engineering and program management teams, including the hiring, termination, training, development and performance management of direct reports.
Supports the deployment and activation of access network hardware and software across the network, including prioritizing and scheduling activity that adheres to corporate change management policies.
Assists with developing processes and standards that provide value across the organization and collaborates with all teams to ensure they are supported, as needed, to deliver well executed deployments and upgrades within defined timelines.
Performs other duties and tasks as requested by Director.
BASIC/ MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field, or equivalent work experience Minimum six (6) years Engineering experience Minimum two (2) years Management and Project Management experience Industry and vendor specific certifications and training (Cisco, Juniper, Alcatel-Lucent, (N)CTI, SCTE, BCT/E etc) Must be able to work the following shift:
Monday to Friday from 8:
00 AM - 5:
00 PM ADDITIONAL JOB QUALIFICATIONS Knowledge of DOCSIS Solutions and Modulation profiles, CCAP and other developing standards of TFTP, TOD, CM files, and other related provisioning elements Ability to handle multiple projects and tasks, make decisions and solve problems while working under pressure, and the ability to supervise and motivate others Comprehensive understanding of HVAC and power distribution systems String Understanding of Analog Transmission Line Theory, Electronic theory, Fiber Optic theory, IP Addressing Knowledge of company products and services WORKING CONDITIONS Office environment Exposure to moderate noise levels Travel as required #LI-SD4 ENE501 2023-17339 2023 Here, employees don't just have jobs, they build careers.

The pay for this position has a salary range of $98,900.

Also, certain positions are eligible for additional forms of compensation such as bonuses.
