Linux Engineer
Title- Linux Engineer Location- hybrid 3 days onsite in Englewood, CO.

month Interview- phone/video Visa- No H1B,Cpt, OPt, JOB SUMMARY Ideal candidate will lead in the planning, design, development, implementation, and execution Linux systems engineering for the Charter Datacenter.
Drives identification and adoption of best-in-class development.
Designs, develops and implements platform enhancements and makes recommendations for improvements.
QUALIFICATIONS, DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Required oBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field, and / or equivalent work experience oMinimum eight years of experience in UNIX/Linux engineering/administration oSolid (RPM and Debian) Linux engineering, troubleshooting, testing and hardening experience oExperience using new RPM tools like ip, dnf, nmcli oExperience using apt, ubiquity, debian installer, ufw oFamiliar writing, reading and understanding yaml, and json files oAutomation/Scripting skills:
perl, bash and python oHands-on experience designing, implementing and optimizing Linux file-systems oExperience with vcenter, vmware ovftool, and hashicorp vault and packer tools oKnowledge of CIS Workbench hardening, Linux Test Project and eliciting test cases; experience with Linux troubleshooting, hardening, and performance tuning oGitlab experience creating workflows, CI/CD pipelines, setting variables Desired oFamiliar with Test Driven Development (TDD) oexperience with LDAP mandatory oexperience with API-driven configuration oWrite and review pull/merge requests in Git oHands-on experience with creating Linux system images and publishing to a repository system such as Artifactory, etc.
oRed Hat Certified System Administrator certification ADDITIONAL JOB QUALIFICATIONS oAbility to read, write and speak the English language to communicate with employees, customers, suppliers, in person, on the phone, and by written communications in a clear, straight-forward, and professional manner oCan clearly and professionally communicate with peers and solution vendors, both in person and through approved electronic communication means.
oAbility to schedule and coordinate multiple projects, communicate project requirements and objectives.
oAbility to meet deliverable objectives with minimal supervision.
oUnderstanding of Telco or related service provider services and technologies.
