Position Overview:
We seek a skilled and experienced Azure Engineer to join our team and lead migrating on-premises infrastructure and applications to the Azure Cloud platform.
The ideal candidate should have a strong background in both on-premises and cloud environments, with hands-on experience in designing, planning, and executing successful migrations to Azure.
As an Azure Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring a smooth and efficient transition of our organization's technology stack to the cloud.
Responsibilities:
Migration Planning and Design:
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess existing on-premises infrastructure and applications for migration suitability.
Design and architect Azure-based solutions that align with business goals and requirements.
Develop migration strategies, considering factors such as data transfer, networking, security, compliance, and application dependencies.
Migration Execution:
Lead the actual migration process, including setting up Azure resources, configuring networking, and managing data transfer.
Deploy, configure, and optimize Azure services and resources, ensuring high availability, scalability, and security.
Collaborate with application owners to address any technical challenges during the migration process.
Execute the migration while minimizing downtime and impact on end-users.
Infrastructure as Code (IaC):
Implement Infrastructure as Code principles using tools such as Azure Resource Manager templates, Terraform, or ARM templates to automate the provisioning and management of Azure resources.
Monitoring and Troubleshooting:
Set up monitoring and alerting for Azure resources to ensure optimal performance and availability.
Identify and resolve issues related to cloud infrastructure and applications, ensuring a seamless user experience.
Security and Compliance:
Implement security best practices in Azure, including identity and access management, network security, encryption, and compliance controls.
Ensure adherence to industry standards and regulatory requirements during the migration process.
Documentation and Knowledge Sharing:
Create comprehensive documentation of migration processes, architecture, and configurations.
Share knowledge and best practices with the broader technical team to foster continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
Proven experience in migrating on-premises infrastructure and applications to Azure Cloud.
Strong hands-on experience with Azure services, networking, security, and resource management.
Proficiency in scripting and automation using tools such as PowerShell, Azure CLI, or Python.
Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) concepts and tools like Terraform or ARM templates.
Solid understanding of cloud architecture patterns, best practices, and security frameworks.
Relevant Azure certifications (e.
g.
, Azure Solutions Architect) are a plus.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
