Plumbing Superintendent - Multifamily New Construction

Job Summary Leads or coordinates construction projects such as developing a new facility; the addition, expansion or extension of an existing facility; or renovation/alterations to a facility in collaboration with project team, construction site and management.
Typically responsible for multiple jobs, supervising one or more trade groups.
Develops assignments, timetables and responsibilities for team members for the duration of the project.
Organizes and directs construction personnel and ensures that materials and equipment resources are delivered on time.

Essential Duties Supervises employees and independent contractors assigned to area of responsibility.
Provides liaison between Project Managers and the field to ensure compliance of construction with drawings and specifications.
Plans project specific work schedule, contracts with independent contractors and coordinates material and equipment requirements.
Develops material delivery strategy and creates take-off's worksheet(s).
Monitors work performance and productivity of all crafts to ensure project rules, procedures, and safety requirements are maintained.
Conducts weekly safety meetings.
Develops labor strategy and footprint and gets the Counter built.
Coordinates placement and storage of materials, tools and supplies to support the construction plan.
Eliminates construction and job site hazards as they are recognized to reduce safety incidents and their severity.
Advises senior level supervision and project management of potential problems, work interferences, schedule difficulties, etc.
Assists in circumventing/resolving such problems as required.
Maintains liaison with other departments, i.
e.
, Purchasing, Accounting, Engineering, etc.
, as required to support construction schedule.
Provides a clear clean set of as-built drawings.
Minimum Requirements Five (5) years
in mechanical contracting with three (3) years working as a construction foreman, superintendent or similar function.
Journeyman or Master Plumbing License required.
Multifamily experience is required.
Expert knowledge of building products, construction details and relevant rules, regulations and quality standards.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, coordination and/or BIM drawings, submittals, specifications, details and job orders.
Advanced knowledge of construction management processes, means and methods.
Understanding of all facets of the construction process.
Ability to plan and see the big picture.
Competent in conflict and crisis management.
Leadership skills.
Excellent time and project management skills.
The Salary Range for this role starts at $76,000 - $101,000 per year.

Factors that determine your actual salary may include your specific skills, how many years of experience you have and comparison to other employees in that role.
