Network Architect IV
NETWORK ARCHITECT IV- ENGLEWOOD, COThe Select Group is seeking a Network Architect IV for one of its top clients in the Telecommunications industry.
In this role you'll be supporting their migration into DOCSIS 3.
1 and transformation into DAA.
This role requires you to be onsite 3 days a week in Englewood, CO.
If you're interested in hearing more details on this opportunity, apply today!NETWORK ARCHITECT IV MUST HAVE SKILLS Good understanding of DOCSIS technology (HCS) & PON (Passive Optical Network) This is a hard must have in terms of working with it in some capacity They don't need to know about the individual features, but they must be able to speak to their knowledge in some depth Architecture experience Network Engineering experience (candidate must have some experience in each of the following) Basic knowledge of related industry specifications and standards IEEE, ANSI, Fiber (Multimode, Single mode, UTP, etc.
), Bridging, Switching, Routing, Ethernet and Transport technologies and protocols Basic knowledge in network design, network architecture, protocols and network topology Basic knowledge in TCP/IP and the OSI Model Basic knowledge in using ticketing and software tools to support the current operations.
Basic knowledge of network devices and basic network appliances Basic knowledge of network designing software, such as Visio NETWORK ARCHITECT IV REPSONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for engineering activities that maintain and enhance the company's telecommunications and signal processing hardware, software and communications systems.
Works with technical operations staff on system design and configuration.
Works with design and testing teams and advises team leaders.
The candidate must also have HFC & PON access system architecture, troubleshooting, and testing skills that enable the successful creation of system requirement documents, design documents, migration strategies, and strategic roadmaps.
The position requires knowledge in DOCSIS PHY & MULPI specifications especially in relation to DOCSIS 3.
1 and DOCSIS 4.

Duties also include the architecture and design of HFC access networks (CAA and DAA), where performance evaluations for various technologies and features are performed.
The candidate must show track record of leadership and innovation in the cable industry via previously published technical papers and granted patents.
