Surgical Technologist
Responsibilities:
Prepare the operating room and provide the necessary instruments, equipment, and supplies to adequately complete surgical procedures Anticipate the needs of the surgeon and other team members Prevent surgical site infections by adhering to the principles of asepsis while maintaining a sterile field Serve as a patient advocate to ensure safe patient care Prevent retained foreign objects by performing appropriate surgical counts Handle specimens according to facility policy and procedures Communicate with surgical team to ensure quality patient care Assist in post-procedure cleaning and preparing the operating room for the next procedure Actively participate in team meetings, trainings, and daily safety huddles Demonstrate fiscal responsibility QualificationsSurgical Technologist Requirements:
Graduate of an accreditedSurgicalTechnology program Current BLS certification Current DORA registration Preferred (but not required):
ASC experience 1 year experience as aSurgical Technologist NBSTSA Surgical Technology Certification Working Conditions/Physical Requirements:
