This is a critical role responsible for organizing and leading integration activity for reference designs, proof-of-concept prototypes, release candidates, and verification of generally available production solutions in the lab, trial, and production field deployments.
We are looking for a broad mix of skills and interests ranging from networking skills, Lab Management, Test planning and execution, RF HFC, DOCSIS, and software to engaging cross-domain development teams with systems architecture and DOCSIS subject matter expertise.

Evaluate and discover network and service design challenges and design innovative solutions to some key HFC challenges with the use of new and optimization of existing network infrastructure.
Lead and collaborate with the R&D team to design and organize testing plans, lab facilities, resources, and execution.
Build lab test systems to evaluate new hardware and software supporting distributed access architecture, specify design and operations guidelines, and support testing and validation teams.
Work with program and operations resources to track and satisfy entrance criteria to execute field trials meeting exit criteria, evaluate results and execute network measurement campaigns.
Frequent meetings/communication with stakeholders to interpret their needs, plan/organize, and discuss progress and results.
Develop and communicate goals, strategies, tactics, project plans, timelines, and key performance metrics to reach goals.
Collaborate across teams with an open-minded perspective on new ideas with a creative contribution on new technology, architectures, and operational approaches.

Skills & Experience We're Looking For:
Bachelor or Master's degree in the following areas:
Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or relevant science or engineering disciplines preferred15
years working in broadband or wireless telecommunications including HFC and DOCSIS or wireless technologies Expert level understanding of DOCSIS (3/3.
1/4) physical, MAC, and upper-layer protocols including distributed network architectures with Software Defined Networking, Network Function Virtualization, and Cloud-Based Systems Expert level experience with cross-functional hardware and software including RF and embedded systems such as amplifiers, Remote PHY Device CMTS functions, HFC nodes, Digital Pre-Distortion, Echo cancellation Expert level understanding of RF propagation, amplifier design and operation, and RF planningDeployment, lab, and field trial experience is required Understanding the Quality-of-Service functionalities Familiarity with modern software development including Python, Go, C/C++/C#, Java, R, and familiarity with continuous integration and test case automation and development tools and processes such as JIRAAdditional Valued Skills &

Primary Location Pay Range:

28 - $273,069.
42Comcast intends to offer the selected candidate base pay within this range, dependent on job-related, non-discriminatory factors such as experience.
