)Job SummaryResponsible for detailed design, implementation coordination and technical lead level resourcing for new product integration across Comcast's converged IP Network, at a market or infrastructure level.

The Comcast Network and CONNECTivity (CONNECT) organization is a highly agile, fast-paced, dedicated group at the forefront of change focused on innovating, building, and operating the best in class, most reliable access network for our customers.
About the Team:
The ASE (Access Sustaining Engineering) Team within the Comcast CONNECT organization is responsible for designing, testing, and researching next-generation access network technologies.
Additionally, the team is responsible for end to end Tier 4/5 support of DOCSIS iCMTS (CBR8, E6000), vCMTS (DAA), and CPE technologies.
What You'll Do:
Provides technical support for issues that impact the development and deployment of new residential and business services over Comcast's DOCSIS network.
Validate and troubleshoot problems identified during lab testing and drive issues to resolution.
This work includes utilizing lab test equipment to perform measurements for supporting and troubleshooting RF, DOCSIS, and network impairments.
Produces, reviews, and coaches junior engineers to support detailed design work, SMOP creation, and operations execution of complex changes across converged environments.
Work in a heavily matrixed environment and act as an integrated team member or leader with virtual teams to shorten the R&D and Design cycle for new products and network evolution.
Creates and documents high-level, detailed network designs to support business objectives.
Utilizes WIKI and JIRA for sharing information and tracking technical problems.
Strong initiative to build relationships both internally and externally with minimal supervision/direction from management.
Skills & Experience We're Looking For:
Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related discipline and 4
years working with DOCISIS based or Cloud technologies.
Proven experience with Cable Labs/SCTE specifications and CMTS/CCAP hardware and software, DAA implementations (Remote PHY, R-MACPHY).
Experience and strong understanding of Network Engineering, Network Security, TCP/IP (TCP, UDP, DNS, SNMP, etc.
), Routing Protocols (OSPF, BGP, etc.
).
Hands on experience with DOCSIS network lab equipment with a strong focus on testing and evaluation.
Ideal candidate will have experience developing process flow diagrams and training documentation.
Preferred Skills/
Experience:
Master of Science in a related discipline
3 years of relevant experience.
CCNA/CCNP experience is a plus.
Experience working within MSO (Multiple Systems Operator) environment.
Experience with scripting languages (Python, GO, etc) creating and supporting the development of tools and scripts to improve consistency and support system reliability.

40 - $189,626.
10Comcast intends to offer the selected candidate base pay within this range, dependent on job-related, non-discriminatory factors such as experience.
