Job Description
Leads overall strategy development for CoBank's Money Movement and Cash Management solutions. Manages and accountable for sales, marketing, product development, implementation and training activities related to all digital and cash management products and services to ensure ambitious sales goals and revenue targets are met and to create a competitive advantage for the bank. Develops and coordinates marketing plans and sales strategies with relevant bank and Farm Credit System partners to achieve cash management and digital business solutions goals. Manages vendor relationships with service providers. Negotiates and monitors pricing and contracts, and ensures efficient and timely delivery of services. Contributes to overall bank management through participation in the development of strategic and operating objectives and plans. Coaches, counsels, and develops staff resources to attain a disciplined business development focus, consistent customer focus, and proactive servicing of relationships.
Essential Functions
1. Responsible for developing future focused overall strategy for money movement and cash management for CoBank and the Farm Credit System. 2. Manages a group of professional digital and cash management products and services staff with focus on developing and maintaining standards and systems reflecting industry best practices. 3. Directs the activities of the digital and cash management implementation team. Manages policies related to customer training and Farm Credit System (FCS) alliance implementation activities. 4. Manages business related vendor and service provider relationships for CoBank. Negotiates and monitors pricing and service level agreements and negotiates contracts with service providers and FCS users of CoBank's cash management and eCommerce products and services. 5. Sets pricing, product and service placement strategy for CoBank's cash management and eCommerce offerings and ensures product profitability. 6. Directs FCS system-wide marketing and sales efforts of cash management and eCommerce products and services to ensure aggressive revenue targets are met. Works with bank and FCS alliance management to establish relevant financial targets. 7. Conducts training for and provides support materials to relationship management and credit staff in regard to cash management and eCommerce. 8. Creates, enhances and maintains cash management and eCommerce promotional material including electronic, print and other media in conjunction with corporate relations. 9. Gives presentations, conducts training and attends customer and industry functions as spokesperson or consultant expert for cash management and eCommerce products and services. 10. Responsible for maintaining a sound controls environment to identify and mitigate operational and third party risks. 11. Oversees the maintenance of sales reporting and prospect management systems and provides timely cash management and eCommerce sales/activity reporting to management. 12. Closes sales with key prospects by participating in onsite, teleconference, or in-bank meetings. 13. Maintains current knowledge of cash management and eCommerce products and services to ensure that CoBank's offerings remain competitive and value-added. 14. Supervises staff. Sets performance standards, manages workflow, grants authorities, evaluates performance, and recommends personnel actions within delegated authorities. Consults with Human Resources as appropriate. Manages budget.
Education
Bachelor's Degree required
Work Experience
15 years experience, including cash management expertise, proven sales success, product development and marketing, marketing communications, and sales support experience required Excellent prospecting and closing, communication, presentation, and process management skills. required Extensive knowledge of cash management and eCommerce products and services. required Proven ability to manage a revenue-driven and customer-focused team of professionals. required Ability to understand CoBank customers' financial business processes and CoBank's core businesses. required Strong analytical skills with an aptitude for converting a perceived problem into a sales opportunity. required Knowledge of relevant cash management platform and back office environment. required Successful record of selling financial products and services that are complementary to commercial lending and leasing. required Experience with supporting line officers through the financial products and services sales cycle. required Experience with creating and implementing sales training. required Focus on rural America, and a strong understanding of the Farm Credit System, its key role in the rural economy, and its customer base preferred Certified Treasury Professional preferred

The typical base pay range for this role is between $200,000-$280,000. Compensation may vary based on individual job-related knowledge, skills, expertise, and experience.
