OverviewJob SummaryThe VP, Human Resources Business Partner is responsible for the overall strategy, planning and execution of HR Business Partner Team.
This role will require a leader who can flex between executive strategy sessions and hands-on management of the team.
The roleis accountable for translating business requirements into actionable HR plans and for the delivery of expected outcomes.
Guidesand develops HR Business Partner team to effectively and efficiently deliver processes, practices and outcomes in the followingdomains:
Employee Relations; Talent Planning; Leadership Development, Performance Management, Policy development andinterpretation.
Allocates resources to effectively support the business strategy and culture while minimizing risk to theorganization.
Serves as a strategic and tactical advisor to business leadership and their respective teams; working to proactivelysupport and maintain a constructive, supportive relationship with leaders and a positive employment culture withing theorganization.
This role will lead on specific complex or sensitive situations, and formal processes for manager or above levels.
Decisions from this role have a significant impact on the overall success of human resources function.
Core Responsibilities for all jobs at this level:
Develops and translates functional or divisional strategy into actionable plan; drives accountability to the planLeads inter-department function in the planning, development, implementation, coordination and evaluation of related strategy, processes, and operationsPlans, coordinates and evaluates complex departmental and intradepartmental projects or programs for implementation across departments and/or functionsEstablishes and evaluates policies appropriate for the function, interprets and recommends modification to company-wide policies and practicesEssential Functions and Responsibilities include the following:
Oversees, manages, and resolves complex employee relations issues.
Conducts effective, thorough and objective investigations.
Implements and maintains effective grievance and disciplinary processes consistent with applicable laws and collective bargaining agreements.
Analyzes data for trends and metrics in partnership with HR team and appropriate business units to develop solutions and programs to meet the needs of the business, improve performance and efficiency.
Maintains an up to date, in depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance.
Partner with Legal department as needed/requiredWorks closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, increase productivity and retentionProvides overall HR Policy guidance and interpretation to HR team and business leadersProvides guidance, input and coaching on business unit restructures, workforce planning, talent assessment, succession planning and employee development plans.
Ensure timely and consistent follow through on talent calendar cadence for AMCPartners with Recruiting team on defining optimal recruiting process; actively participates in recruitment for certain level rolesNavigate and guide team through times of ambiguity, defining structure and processOther Duties as assigned.
Additional job requirements:
Up to 30% travel, often without noticeAvailability to support a 24X7 operation as needed based on complexity of situationSubject to applicable laws and Air Method s policies, regular attendance is an essential function of the position.

Supervisory ResponsibilitiesDirectly manages HRBP team.
Carries out Supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization s policies and applicable laws.
Responsibilities include interviewing, selecting, hiring, and training employees, planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining employees, addressing complaints and resolving problems.
For Exempt Managers:
Managers that carry out these responsibilities for two or more employees will have significant input in hiring and termination decisions.

Education & ExperienceBachelor s degree from four-year college or university; and fifteen or more years related progressive experience and/or training.
Minimum ten years experience in resolution of complex employee relation issuesExperience in multi-location, multi-state operations with 1000
