Jr Java/J2EE Developer

Kranect's client in the DTC is looking for a Junior Java/J2EE Developer to join their financial services team. The ideal candidate will have experience with multiple technologies and have a background in J2EE application containers.

The candidate should be comfortable taking on a variety of tasks:
Application development
Technical troubleshooting
Writing scripts
Junior Java/J2EE Developer Role and Responsibilities
Development, maintenance, and support of specialized applications for use by in-house user communities and external clients
Must be able to multitask
Work independently to respond to and resolve customer requests and issues
Junior Java/J2EE Developer Requirements
1-3 years of previous related programming experience OR a combination of equivalent education & experience
Strong troubleshooting skills
Demonstrable interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills
Experience with Perl, Java/J2EE (configuration and optimization)
Familiarity with Unix (Solaris/Linux) operating systems, tools, and utilities
Experience with Shell Scripting in C (csh), Korn (ksh), and/or Bourne shells (sh)
Experience with different web containers/application servers (one or more: Apache, Tomcat, JBoss, or WebLogic)
Combinations of the following skills are preferred:
C/C++, PL/SQL, Groovy/Grails, Oracle Forms/Pro C
CVS, ANT, FTP, SSH, SSL, PGP
Local candidates highly preferred (Denver, CO). Only accepting candidates authorized to work in the US.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
