Right now, we are seeking a
Senior Analyst, Quality Review
based at Western Union's global headquarters in Englewood, Colorado.

In this role, you will conduct reviews to assure that Regulatory Reporting (RR) specialists and analysts responsible for the suspicious activity monitoring and reporting function understand internal and external Anti-Money Laundering (AML) requirements, identify and report suspicious activity in a consistent manner and prepare comprehensive regulatory reports that comply with quality requirements in order for Western Union to provide appropriate reports to the regulatory reporting institutions. The reviews include but are not limited to: the completeness, accuracy of transactional analysis and proper documentation in iWatch and WireWatch and the accuracy and totality of the attachments thereto as well as appropriate interdictions.

In addition, you will:
Contribute to the objectives of RR by providing training to new and existing employees, preparing regulatory reports as needed, developing, enhancing and implementing quality tools; including preparing policies and procedures to ensure consistency, quality and transparency of GMI processes and preparing analytical reports and statistical summaries
Interact with management to ensure that processes are working as designed, identify process improvement opportunities to support consistency and excellence while meeting established standards
Communicate QA results and feedback to management and also participates in calibration meetings with management to ensure that QA reviews are conducted in a manner to preserve the alignment Regulatory Reporting goals
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent job experience in the financial services industry is acceptable
1-2 years' experience in any of the following: Bank Secrecy Act, AML Compliance, general and/or risk based compliance, or previous analytical experience is preferred
Knowledge of global law and regulations applicable to money laundering including the US Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), the USA PATRIOT Act, Financial Action Task Force (FATF) and the Third EU Directive
Understanding of the Global Money Remittances Industry as it relates to anti-money laundering, terrorist financing, and fraud typologies
Demonstrate strong analytical, organizational, sound judgment, and attention to detail
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Training experience preferred
Ability to multi-task and work well under pressure
Self-motivated person, focused on team success
Working knowledge of MS Word, Excel (MS Access skills would be considered as advantage)
Experience with WireWatch and iWatch systems preferred
Capable of utilizing the Internet for research and problem solving
Proven track record of work in highly regulated markets
Prior experience in Quality Assurance preferred
Ability to work with a high level of autonomy
Fluency in English is required, Spanish preferred but not required
Team player with strong collaborative qualities and a positive demeanor

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
