The Product Manager, Mobile willplay a key role in setting the strategy for mobile first development of ournext generation of learning applications, content and tools. The globaladoption of mobile devices creates a significant opportunity for Pearson toincrease its reach to users and the efficacy of its education products. Theideal candidate will have a proven track record of bringing successful mobileapplications to market and experience with integration platforms. This personwill be dedicated not only to developing quality mobile apps, but also actingas a mobile app evangelist with learning application product developers,content publishers and integration platform owners.

Lead a cross-functional team in the definition, development, launch and management of Pearson s next generation mobile experiences for students and instructors.

Understand the customer needs, usage, and demographics for the various mobile platforms specifically iOS and Android.

Establish a culture of inquiry and a highly experimental approach to app development.

Evangelization of both mobile first and consistent mobile application development - including communicating and implementing best-in-market practices.

Closely collaborate with Design and Engineering on building a cutting edge mobile offering.

Inform and support business units in leveraging platform mobile services and building effective mobile learning apps.

Identify data/technological needs and work with the product and technology teams to scale-up and accelerate mobile initiatives.

Demonstrate successful experience in building and deploying iOS and Android smartphone and tablet applications.

Ability to describe and evangelize Mobile-first principles and strategies
Qualifications

Bachelors degree in Business Administration or demonstrated experience in mobile product development

5 - 7 years product management experience with at least 2 years success building and launching mobile applications.

Demonstrated experience or knowledge of scaled agile product development methodologies.

Excellent organizational, leadership, decision making and communications skills.

Basic understanding of skills involving iOS and Android based development.

Deep knowledge and experience in mobile application best practices and market trends.

Understanding of mobile usage in major global markets.

Exceptional problem-solving skills, ability to quickly learn new concepts and methodologies as needed.
