DESCRIPTION
Specialist Business Systems Analyst, Global Sales & Services
Summary:
This position leads the ongoing technology solution definition effort supporting the Global Sales & Services organizations at Hitachi Data Systems. Business analyst responsibilities include driving alignment on requirements and needs with geographical stakeholders through workshop facilitation, interviews, system demos, visual documentation, use cases identification, and business process analysis. The Specialist Business Systems Analyst must demonstrate effective communication through various mediums, provide strong leadership, and the ability to promote change into the business community through a consultative approach. Specific duties include but are not limited to the following essential job functions:
Key
Responsibilities:
Lead cross-functional meetings and planning sessions with internal stakeholders and external vendors
Interface with business clients to understand needs, ensuring expectations are in line with delivery plans
Facilitate operations meetings, providing updates on project status, issues, risks, escalations, and change requests
Prepare project reports, dashboard and summaries
Demonstrate ability to successfully distill complex technical information into clear, comprehensive communication material
Coordinate with 3rd party vendors on application support issues, defects and enhancements
Manage the delivery of defined scope and deliverables according to the dates and milestones established
Track change requests and determine impacts to timeline, resources, and project cost before aligning on next steps
Define testing strategy, write test scripts, and execute unit and end-to-end testing
Work closely with global business leads on testing the enhancements or defects deployed
Develop testing metrics for readout
Identify, log and triage issues, coordinating with development team to resolved in a timely manner
Develop and update application documentation for hand-off to support analyst team
Manage regular application instance database refreshes on as needed and monthly basis
Qualifications:
Key Skills, Knowledge and
Experience:
Experience supporting Sales and Services organizations
Excellent interpersonal, communication and leadership skills
Knowledge of the Systems Development Life cycle (SDLC) and experience delivering software projects
Experience delivering business value in an agile environment
Experience with cloud-based software
Knowledge of Salesforce Sales Cloud, Service Cloud and the force.com platform a plus
Knowledge of or experience in Field Service a plus
Knowledge of or experience in Professional Services a plus
Experience with project issue and tracking tools such as JIRA or ALM
Strong analytical skills; demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, specifically Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
Education and
Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology Management or related discipline
Minimum 5 years of direct experience
Experience using enterprise-wide requirements definition and management systems and methodologies
Knowledge of all phases of software development including requirements/story gathering, analysis, solution design, development, testing (unit, integration, end-to-end user), implementation, and support
